AUGMENTED REALITY
Augmented Reality
At 42Tech, we are exploring the use of augmented reality in the modern world in a plethora of industries. Below you can see some of the projects we are currently undertaking.
AR Emergency Procedure Kit
Currently we are looking at the use of AR to show procedures in a state of emergency for training purposes. In the field of medicine, such things as how a medical professional should accompany patients, non-conventional training such as dealing with O2 tanks, contextual safety tips at important locations.

Virtual Reality
We are currently experimenting and developing with the Unreal Engine and HTC Vive for our VR applications. Crafting amazing experiences and captivating realities is the pillar of our research. Currently we are looking at:
VR Getaways for Hospital Patients
Long stay patients can have reduced mobility / freedom while they recover so we are currently exploring getaways for these types of patients. Peace of mind can have multiple benefits as the mental health of patients is just as important as the physical care they are receiving.
Contextual User Interfaces in VR
Most UI in VR is permanent or requires a physical trigger to load. We are looking at using the gaze of the user to load UI that they would be interested in seeing in context to the application they are using.
